pinkdrunkenelephants,

You know we are adults who live in the real world, right?

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Lol no honey, AI isn’t the way of the future and some troglodyte like yourself certainly isn’t going to dictate what social and moral path we take as a people. You are not in control here.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

You’re the chaff.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Man, why does humanity have to be like this?

pinkdrunkenelephants,

I am positive this is being caused by climate collapse and I ought to make a conspiracy thread about it at some point. Maybe meme it out and post it here.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

It is the root cause of this bullshit as it’s been the main global driving force for a lot of war and bullshit that’s happened this century, it’s directly at least partially responsible for the economic downturn we’ve suffered the past few years even after taking covid into account, and abrupt climate change historically causes civilizations to collapse.

Like, the west is straight up running out of water. The Mississippi is being inundated with salt water. Even eastern cities are facing water shortages. That affects everything, especially food prices which we all have seen are through the roof, and those kinds of stressors drive people to violence and cause revolutions.

Even the mass immigration the right wing is using as their wedge issue to push fascism is being caused by climate collapse. It’s not just the cartels and corruption. People are leaving central America en masse because climate collapse is making it fucking impossible for them to grow crops, so they come up here to work. And the racist right being what they are are threatened by that.

It’s all around us and it’s only going to get worse unless other people make the connection and start doing something about all of these problems.

pinkdrunkenelephants,
pinkdrunkenelephants,

The sarcasm adds such a rich flavor to that, I don’t know how to describe it other than delicious. Perhaps coffee flavored

pinkdrunkenelephants,

That’s actually a dangerous thing to do. They aren’t stupid, they just invested their intelligence into manipulating social systems, including the debate method humans use to resolve disputes, to secure dominance over other people.

Remember those bullies who brutalized you when you all were little? That was just the fascist cultists letting their kids use you for target practice. They’ve been doing it since they were little kids and were not only supported by their parents, but were taught how.

It’s dangerous to write them off as simple country bumpkins.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Why are they all peeled up like that then?

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Why do people cut the ends before frying them?

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Is there an actual culinary reason or…?

Serious question, I rarely ever cook or eat hot dogs

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Because he is a fictional character and is more tightly bound by the rules of logic than real people are to maintain believability.

That and it shows the artist’s laziness in not bothering to actually learn anatomy. It matters A LOT in art.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Then don’t get upset over people complaining about it.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

You first

pinkdrunkenelephants, (edited )

No, you’re just grasping at straws to justify ignoring a terrible mistake on the part of the artist.

Dr. Manhattan canonically still has the same skeleton and such. They never said in interviews such mistakes were intentional breadcrumb spreading; he’s a deconstruction of a human with godlike powers and that’s addressed with his thoughts, not his skeleton.

It’s an artist’s mistake. What have you got against people pointing out an artist’s mistake?

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Imagine anyone unironically swallowing down that pig swill

Actually I used to and can confirm how disgusting and worthless it is. It’s not even worth it for the free fries. You barely get any “meat” on the burgers; they’re mostly bread and iceberg lettuce which is actually bad for you too.

Even the fucking donuts I eat are better than that disgusting trash. 🤦

Oh, and here’s the kicker: the only demographic that eats there consistently is the extreme poor who are unlikely to understand terms of service and contracts, and these deals are designed to exploit them. They, I feel bad for. Anyone who has money and chooses to waste it on that lukewarm basura deserves the suffering they get.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

They would have to require contracts be dumbed down to a 4th grade reading level as that’s all most Americans can handle.

Or accept most Americans are too stupid and uneducated to be able to consent to most contracts and to ban them nationwide.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Emotions are energy to these plebs and they need a release valve.

That’s literally how they work. They have internal tanks where they store anger, fear, pain, sadness, regret, and those tanks can only hold a limited amount. The release valves require comfort and validation from others to operate so they don’t overflow.

It’s why you get all of the idiocy from people who complain, complain, complain about everything from minor inconveniences like food spilling to big political issues they need to act or change their behavior to solve but never do.

It’s because they have no intention of fixing the problem and are too selfish and entitled to. They just want someone to turn the release valve for them so they can continue along their self-destructive path and feel better about it.

It’s disgusting, really.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

I can’t believe people care about dumb shit like someone’s height in fields where it doesn’t actually matter. That 5’1" little brown woman in office with her finger on the big red button is always going to be much more of an actual objective threat than some 6’11" massive chungus of a dude with no real charisma to speak of.

Hell, just give the little brown woman a gun and pit her against Big Chungus on the street and see who comes out on top.

People who analyze each other’s body condition and size and prioritize it for everyone other people do are such worthless fucking knuckledraggers.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Cuz, but I deleted it. Is the post still showing up for you?

EDIT: I just checked and my comment still shows up for everyone else even though I deleted it. What in the actual fuck? Lemmy is fucking worthless garbage.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

🤔 There should be a fediverse-wide rule against genocidal rhetoric. Who cares what side it’s from?

pinkdrunkenelephants,
pinkdrunkenelephants,

Genocide against mosquitoes is an acceptable genocide, as are those against cockroaches and bedbugs.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Because they’ve been fighting over that meaningless strip of land since time imemorial and will never stop until one side obliterates the other.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Didn’t Daft Punk break up a year ago?

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Well, they had a good long run and I hope they enjoy theur retirement. I hope they’re relaxing on a beach somewhere

pinkdrunkenelephants,

That’s because vampires have always been a metaphor for the rich exploiting and leeching off of the poor.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

One of my friends in my college days explained it to me. They specifically choose poor people to feed off of, rarely ever high society, and that’s how royalty and feudal lords would act back in the day too. Some of the IRL ruling class would even bathe in young women’s blood.

And vampires are almost always rich in fiction.

And we all know how the rich treat the poor in real life.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Yeah, totalitarian minds also think being able to breathe oxygen is a good thing, but you don’t see me out here holding my breath to try to avoid being like them.

Associating ideas you don’t like with people you find detestable is a common tactic of totalitarians too, yet here you are.

Go get informed and stop treating politics as something that is voluntary. In a democratic society, it’s not. If you don’t want to be informed and involved, then you don’t really want a democracy, you just want to be served, and democratic societies can’t function if that’s people’s primary motivations.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

Lol nah it’s true, people silently judge everyone around them and they do it to try to convince themselves they are superior. That they haven’t been doing things wrong their whole lives. That their inner models for how the world works are accurate.

You just don’t want to admit that humans are that shitty, that’s all. Or that you are.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

And so do you. I never said I was excluded from that rule. I am at least unabashedly honest about it. You just don’t want to accept you are the same way.

We are nothing but selfish, indolent, avaricious, narcissistic, jealous, petty, nasty little apes who establish dominance hierarchies and silently judging others for the reasons I listed above is one of the myriad of ways in which we demonstrate our true nature and establish dominance over one another.

Convincing oneself one is superior to others is a survival mechanism. A destructive one I am going to judge you and blame you for, simply because it is the truth.

We are destructive and cruel to each other and that is what it means to be human. Accept it.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

See? The first thing any of you thought to do was take offense because deep down inside, you know what I’m saying is true.

Would it help if I told you it’s okay to just be a simple animal? We all are anyway.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

And not a single one of those things changes the fact that humans silently judge each other.

All people do this across all cultures. We’re hardwired to do it by virtue of being what we are, and what we are are apes who establish dominance hierarchies.

It’s just a fact. You’re purposefully misconstruing it as a moral claim so you can attack a strawman to make yourself feel better, but it’s still just a fact.

If I told you it is in no way a moral judgement or condemnation toward you, I bet you would be more ready to accept it, and that’s the point. Your selfishness is the point.

pinkdrunkenelephants,

🤔 So what happens if you look up porn on a chromium browser and then try to run for office years later? Couldn’t they in principle blackmail whoever they wanted?

pinkdrunkenelephants,

It really shouldn’t. Everything in it outside of Nintendo is a hot steaming pile of dogshit.
